Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that Henan's e-commerce trade in goods and services expanded 12.4 percent year-on-year to 646.78 billion yuan in the first half of 2023, ranking 10th in China, said a source from the Statistics Bureau of Henan on August 7, generally maintaining robust growth momentum. It is worth noting that online retail sales grew faster.
Henan's e-commerce trade in services grew remarkably. In the first half of this year, Henan's e-commerce trade in goods and services jumped 7 percent and 32.9 percent year-on-year to 488.06 billion yuan and 158.73 billion yuan respectively, maintaining robust growth momentum.
During the January-June period, Henan's enterprises above designated size saw their e-commerce sales reach 309.69 billion yuan and procurement value stand at 168.87 billion yuan. Fueled by digital economy, online retail sales grew faster, reporting a growth of 20.3 percent year-on-year to 210.97 billion yuan, of which the sales of physical commodities reached 178.51 billion yuan, up 20 percent year-on-year.
