The third bilingual series of "Chinese Civilization · Stories from Henan" has been published, said a source from a news briefing held by the Information Office of the People's Government of Henan Province on July 6. The third bilingual series consists of 10 volumes, namely The Huaihe River Culture, Eco-system Protection of the Yellow River Basin, Bronze Treasures, Calligraphy, Ceramics, Acrobatics, Allusions of the Central Plains, Folklore of the Central Plains, Myths of the Central Plains, and Grain of the Central Plains.

The bilingual series of "Chinese Civilization · Stories From Henan" is a highlight of "Translation Henan" project that was first launched by Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Henan Province. By 2021, 20 volumes have been published, including Shaolin Kungfu, Taijiquan, A Model Official -- Jiao Yulu, and Zhuangzi (an ancient Chinese philosopher). The third bilingual series aims to introduce the cultural root of Chinese modernization to the world by advocating the culture of Central Plains, showcasing the history of Chinese civilization, and exploring the contemporary value of Yellow River.

It is worth noting that Grain of the Central Plains, one volume of the third bilingual series, is the first bilingual book to introduce the grain culture of Central Plains, showing the ebb and flow of China's economy and society over the past thousands of years by introducing the development of the country's grain industry.

The bilingual series of "Chinese Civilization · Stories from Henan" has been selected as a major achievement of the project of "Construction of Standardization of Multilingual Translation of Chinese Ideological and Cultural Terms" launched by China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration. Besides, the series has been designated as a gift for global inter-party exchanges by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, exhibited in the Meet-the-World Lounge by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, and displayed in the Book and Culture Hall of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance). From April 27 to May 8, the series has been exhibited at the Paris International Expo in France, attracting worldwide concern.
